~ The Grimm Network in Aperiodic Order ~
I was pleased to be invited to the inaugural meeting of “The Grimm Network”. This is an informal group set up to promote and continue the pioneering work in Aperiodic Order of the late Professor Uwe Grimm. This first meeting took place at The Open University in Milton Keynes on 18th July 2023. Gathered were twenty-three mathematicians and physicists, lured here by the promise of a day of presentations and discussions on all things Aperiodic. Dan Rust introduced the event with a few up-beat personal reminisces of times spent working with Uwe.
